Who these terms cover
Org Mobile is a messaging platform operated by Hometown Tech, LLC. These terms cover SMS and MMS communications between you and any participating school, business, nonprofit, team, or other organization using Org Mobile (the “Organization”). The Organization is the sender identified in your enrollment information or messages. Hometown Tech provides the platform on the Organization's behalf.
Each Organization is responsible for its program, message content, enrollment, and recipient support. Its program disclosures identify the Organization, the messages you are signing up for, and how to contact it. These terms apply alongside those disclosures and do not enroll you in other Organizations' programs.
Messages you may receive
Depending on the program you join, messages may include school or family notices, class and team updates, event or appointment reminders, schedule changes, service or account information, announcements, and replies to your questions. Messages may be sent individually or through automated distribution to a group or list. Announcements arrive as separate private texts; replies go to authorized staff rather than other recipients. Images may be exchanged where supported.
The Organization may only send messages within the scope of your consent. These terms do not authorize unrelated advertising or enroll you in a different messaging program.
Your consent and enrollment
By opting into an Organization's messaging program, you agree to these SMS terms for that program. Participation is voluntary. The Organization must obtain any consent required for its program before sending messages. Depending on its disclosed enrollment process, you may give permission verbally to its staff, in writing, through a form, or by a text-based opt-in. The Organization is responsible for explaining the program and keeping appropriate consent records.
Providing a phone number or being added to a contact list does not by itself establish SMS consent. Reading these pages does not subscribe you. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Consent to one Organization's program does not authorize messages from another. Use a number you own or are authorized to use, and notify the Organization if that number changes or is reassigned.
Message frequency and charges
Message frequency varies by Organization, program activity, and your conversations with staff. Programs may send recurring messages. Review the Organization's enrollment disclosures for any more specific frequency or program costs. Message and data rates may apply to texts and images sent or received. Contact your wireless provider with questions about your messaging or data plan.
Stopping and restarting texts
Reply STOP to an Organization's message at any time to opt out. This stops that Organization's program texts across all of its Org Mobile group lines, not just the group you replied to. You may receive a final opt-out confirmation. Your choice does not unsubscribe you from a different Organization's program.
To opt back in, reply START to the Organization's messaging line. This restores your opt-in for that Organization, subject to carrier restrictions and any separate group preferences. If messages do not resume, contact the Organization through another channel. Staff cannot override a recipient's STOP request or a carrier block simply by adding the number again.
Help and contact information
Reply HELP to the Organization's messaging line for messaging help. For questions about a notice, enrollment, or your participation, contact the Organization using the contact information in its enrollment materials or on its official website. For help with the Org Mobile platform, contact Hometown Tech at support@hometown.tech and identify the Organization involved.
Delivery and appropriate use
Delivery and availability depend on your device, carrier, and network. Messages may be delayed or undelivered. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Org Mobile messaging is not an emergency service and is not guaranteed to be monitored continuously. For urgent or emergency assistance, use an appropriate direct or emergency contact channel.
Do not use the service to send unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or unauthorized content. Messaging access may be limited or suspended for misuse or service requirements, subject to applicable law.
Privacy and changes to these terms
Our SMS Privacy Policy explains how messaging information is handled. Organizations may provide additional notices for their activities outside this messaging service; those notices do not expand your SMS consent or remove the shared SMS privacy protections.
Updated terms will be posted here with a revised date. Organizations are responsible for communicating material program changes and obtaining renewed consent where required. An update to these terms does not itself authorize new categories of messages.
